The Victorian Collaborative Centre’s Psychology Supervisor Connect and Reflect series is designed to support endorsed psychology supervisors in enhancing their clinical supervision practice. Each session explores a key topic related to clinical supervision, offers valuable insights, and provides practical strategies to strengthen supervisory relationships and outcomes.
This session explores how feedback in clinical supervision can be delivered in ways that promote learning. It will consider the shift from traditional to contemporary approaches, the role of psychological safety, and introduce structured feedback models.
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate between traditional and contemporary approaches to feedback.
- Recognise the role of psychological safety in supervisees’ receptiveness to feedback.
- Understand key principles of effective feedback.
- Explore how structured feedback models can be applied in supervision.
Presenter:
Michelle Pham is a clinical psychologist working in public mental health since 2007. She has provided clinical supervision to provisional psychologists, registrars, and clinical psychologists across a variety of public mental health settings. In her current role as Psychology Educator at the Victorian Collaborative Centre, Michelle supports the development of Victoria’s public mental health psychology workforce. She values reflective practice, professional growth, and fostering safe, engaging spaces for learning.
Eligibility Criteria:
This session is open to Endorsed Psychology Supervisors working in Victorian public health settings.
