What is the Summer Learning Series?
With the Department of Health’s support, the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing (VCCMHW) is undertaking a development needs analysis of the whole Victorian mental health and wellbeing workforce. This analysis will directly inform the development of a targeted, three-year workforce development strategy for both the Collaborative Centre and the department’s Mental Health and AOD Workforce Development team.

We are launching Workforce Development Needs Analysis (DNA) survey on January 12 2026! To support this launch, we are hosting a short program of online learning sessions where we’ll both invite your participation in the DNA project, while also sharing short learning sessions that will support your wellbeing and practice.

Why take part?
The Summer Series is your opportunity to help shape the future of Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing workforce — while gaining practical insights and learning alongside peers. By taking part, you can share what’s working, where the gaps are, and what the workforce needs next. Your input to the Workforce Development Needs Analysis (DNA) will directly inform future training, capability development and system-wide planning.
