About me
I am a credentialled Mental Health Nurse with over 20 years’ experience and have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of areas throughout my career. This ranges from Local Area Mental Health to teaching at University and I currently work for the Government. I am a strong advocate for supervision, having experienced supported professional and individual growth from my own experience of supervision over the years. More importantly, I enjoy assisting others to navigate their journey throughout their career and have a keen interest in assisting others in managing their experience, in a demanding and challenging role, whilst supporting growth and development. I continue my own professional development, and supervision.
My experience
I have worked extensively across Local Area Mental Health, from inpatient units, CATT, PACER, Emergency Mental Health, Psychiatric Triage and Community Mental Health as a senior mental health clinician. I have also moved from a senior mental health clinician role to leadership where I was Team Leader in the AOD space and then became a manager in one of the new mental health and AOD hubs. In this role I was managing a multidisciplinary team in the emergency department and in the outreach space. Whilst in this role I assisted in developing the hub space by writing frameworks and new processes and participated in steering committees and multiple working groups and worked to have naloxone available in the emergency departments for those at risk of opioid overdose.
I have taught at Australian Catholic University for nursing students but have always had a passion for mentoring and have participated in precepting students throughout my working career.
I am currently in a leadership role for the Victorian Government and within that role I am part of a volunteer mentoring programme as a mentor in the women in leadership space.

My approach to Clinical Supervision is viewed through a therapeutic lens providing a safe space to develop and grow. I believe in collaboration and can use CBT a reflective model and solution focused approach. The foundations of supervision are built on confidentiality, respect, trust and enjoyment and I believe supervision is the cornerstone to professional growth and development. I provide supervision virtually or by phone to allow for flexibility of access.
