About me
I have worked as a Mental Health Social Worker in Public Mental Health Services since 1997 in both clinician, senior clinician, Team leader and clinical educator roles. Most of my roles have been in community settings. I have supervised clinical staff whilst in these roles. My roles have largely been specialist roles in the areas of transcultural psychiatry, adult, youth, complex care and now education. I am currently employed as the statewide mental health social work educator and feel passionate about supporting social workers professional development and work with consumers and families. My areas of interest range from transcultural mental health, adult, youth, complex needs, family work and clinical education.
My experience
I have worked extensively over 25 years in a variety of clinical roles. I commenced my career as a Bilingual Case Manager which I held for 8 years. This program was evaluated and became one of the first local examples of evidence-based Clinical Case Management. I then briefly worked overseas with autistic teenagers and returned to Australia and worked in a busy Community Mental Health Team at for 3 years. After that I worked with a Youth Early Psychosis Program for a period of 9 years. Following this role I then worked as a SECU Liaison and SECU Diversion Program Team Leader for 5 years. More recently I worked as a statewide mental health social work educator at the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL) which was the central organisation for Mental Health workforce development in the state of Victoria.
My current role/work
I am currently employed as the statewide mental health social work educator at The Collaborative Centre for mental health and well being services. The Collaborative Centre is a government-established organisation in Victoria, created under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 following recommendations from the Royal Commission.
Its main role is to support improvements in the mental health system by combining research, real-world practice, and insights from people with lived experience, and turning these into practical changes.

In addition to my above qualifications, I have completed a variety of training over the years to support my work as a Social Worker and mental health clinician. This ranges from Critical incident support training, Maintaining critical reflection Supervision skills- Advanced, various AOD training, Cross cultural work, personality Disorders training etc.
My approach to supervision
My approach to supervision draws upon my experience in the field as a clinician, supervisor and supervisee. I offer a relaxed and safe environment for you to bring your clinical work for us to discuss, reflect on and offer support around. I utilise a critically reflective lens as well as other lenses to support you to explore your work in a way that is consistent with your personal, professional and organisational values. I am interested in sustaining public mental health social workers long term through supervision that is practical and supports professional development. I am familiar with the Victorian Allied Health Clinical Supervision framework.
