About this project

We have partnered with the Department of Health (Mental Health & Wellbeing Division, Lived Experience Branch) and the Family and Carer Advocacy Network (FaCRAN) at RMIT University to support a project focused on the carer lived experience workforces at the new Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centres.

Mental Health and Wellbeing Connect Centres are new services that provide dedicated support to families, carers, supporters and kin who are supporting people living with mental ill-health, psychological distress, trauma and/or substance use challenges. This project will describe and map the carer lived experience workforce in the context of the Connect Centre peer-led service model, in addition to developing potential policy and practice strategies to support and grow the carer workforce.
