We’re continuing to build a strong, connected approach to workforce development across Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing system.

This work is supported through the Director, Workforce Development role, which we are currently recruiting to as a job-share position, providing leadership across our workforce, education and development function within the Collaborative Centre.

Alongside strong workforce development expertise, we are seeking Lived and Living Experience expertise to strengthen how this work is shaped, governed and delivered. This includes personal Lived Experience of mental health challenges or psychological distress, or experience as a family member, carer, supporter or kin, alongside strong connections to Lived and Living Experience communities, values and ways of working. Experience in a designated Lived and Living Experience leadership role in the mental health and wellbeing sector is a mandatory eligibility requirement for the role.

The role supports the coordination of statewide learning, capability building and workforce development, working closely with system partners, senior leadership, and colleagues in designated Lived and Living Experience roles across the Collaborative Centre.

This reflects our ongoing commitment to strengthening the mental health and wellbeing workforce in ways that are collaborative, evidence-informed, and genuinely guided by Lived and Living Experience.
