Who can apply
You can apply if you meet the minimum criteria for your discipline. Each database has different requirements based on the supervision framework.
For clinicians employed by Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS): If you work for an AMHS, read the AMHS Clinical Supervisor Reciprocal Arrangements before applying to be listed. The guidance explains how nurses can access supervisors across different health services.
Lived Experience Supervisor
Apply if you have at least 2 years' experience in a consumer or family/carer role and accept the principles of the relevant supervision framework.
Minimum criteria:
- 2+ years in a consumer or family/carer role
- Supervision training or equivalent expertise
- Agreement to follow
Access to Supervision Project - For supervisors who want to provide supervision through the Access to Supervision project, contact workforce@vccmhw.vic.gov.au for eligibility criteria.
Apply as a lived experience supervisor
Mental Health Nursing Supervisor
Apply if you have at least 3 years' experience in mental health nursing and meet the clinical supervision criteria.
Minimum criteria:
- 3+ years in a mental health nursing role
- Clinical supervision training or equivalent expertise
- Received ongoing supervision for at least 1 year
- Agreement to follow Victoria's clinical supervision framework for mental health nurses
Allied Health Supervisor
Apply if you have at least 3 years' experience in mental health allied health and meet professional registration requirements.
Minimum criteria:
- 3+ years in a mental health allied health role
- Clinical supervision training or equivalent expertise
- Currently receive ongoing supervision (at least 1 year)
- Current professional registration (AHPRA, AASW, or NASRHP)
- Agreement to follow Victorian Allied Health Clinical Supervision Framework
Apply as an allied health supervisor
Public content and use
The supervisor databases are publicly available and list information agreed by supervisors. They are provided solely to support people to identify supervision options.
The information must not be used for marketing, advertising or other purposes.
Publicly available content, if provided, includes the supervisor’s nominated public email address and nominated phone number for public display.
The Collaborative Centre may contact supervisors in relation to database management or to share information related to supervision initiatives.
What happens after you submit an application
- The Collaborative Centre reviews your application to confirm you have identified as meeting the minimum criteria and that your entry is complete
- If approved, your listing is added to the relevant database
- People seeking supervision can contact you directly
- You can update your details or availability at any time

- Updates to your record
- Update record details to reflect current experience and expertise.
- Request to mark your listing as currently unavailable, if unable to provide supervision for a period of time.
- Request your entry is removed.
