My experience
Since 2015, I have worked across a range of designated lived experience roles, including peer education, peer support in both community and clinical settings, and hub facilitation for an NDIS provider. For the past 2.5 years, I have held a leadership position as a designated lived experience leader, where I have supervised peer workers, peer cadets, and early career pathways graduates. My supervision approach is grounded in consumer perspective values—centring lived experience, promoting autonomy, and fostering reflective practice that empowers individuals to bring their authentic voices into the work.
I believe supervision should be a collaborative, strengths-based process that creates safe spaces for mutual learning and growth. This philosophy guided my work during a six-week secondment as Acting Lived Experience Service Manager, where I gained valuable insights into service leadership and strengthened my ability to advocate for consumer-led principles at an organisational level. Skills and Strengths - Values-Based Leadership: Committed to embedding consumer perspective principles in supervision and service delivery. - Reflective Practice Facilitation: Skilled in creating safe, supportive spaces for peer workers to explore challenges and celebrate successes. - Workforce Development: Passionate about building capability and confidence within the lived experience workforce through mentoring and structured support. - Collaborative Approach: Strong ability to foster inclusive environments that honour diverse perspectives and lived experience expertise. - Adaptability & Growth: Demonstrated capacity to step into higher-level leadership roles and learn quickly in dynamic settings.
My current role/work
Currently, I work as Peer Practice Lead for the Darebin Local, where I share a co-leadership role in establishing this innovative and much-needed service. This initiative is delivered in partnership with Neami National and Northern Health, and stems from recommendations from the Royal Commission, and I am proud to contribute to shaping a model that prioritises lived experience perspectives at its core. My role involves collaborating across teams, embedding consumer perspective values into practice, and supporting the development of a strong, connected peer workforce. Being part of this foundational stage has allowed me to combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership to create a service that truly meets community needs.

My approach to supervision
I believe there is real strength in vulnerability, and I encourage supervisees to bring their authentic selves into the supervision space. My approach is grounded in consumer perspective values, creating an environment where lived experience is honoured and mutual learning thrives. I aim to explore opportunities and possibilities by seeking out the untold stories and fostering deep relational connections that support growth and reflection.
I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative learning space that supervision offers. Through reflective questioning, I guide supervisees to uncover their own insights and empower them to build confidence and autonomy in their practice. My style is coaching-oriented, strengths-based, and deeply relational, informed by my own lived experience and understanding of consumer perspective and IPS frameworks.
I am motivated by relational practice and passionate about all aspects of lived experience work. These values shape how I approach supervision—prioritising trust, mutual respect, and shared wisdom to strengthen both individual capability and the broader peer workforce.
