My experience
An experienced case manager with over 20 years of frontline practice including assessment and intake, Case Management, day program coordinator, Child and Youth Protection Professional level 2.9. Team lead at Ainslie Village for Argyle Housing Community Engagement Co Ordinator Group program Coordinator, Project Officer for Open Arms (Department of Veteran Affairs) and more recently Peer Worker in the Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) in NSWHealth. Completed BA in Psychological Science, currently engaged in a Master of Social Work. I have had extensive exposure to the management of complex presentations including Addiction, CoMorbidity, Suicidal Behaviour, Child Protection, Domestic Violence, Mental Health and Homelessness. I Have delivered best practice interventions to complex clients including counselling, group facilitation, pre-sentence interviews risk assessments and home visits within a statutory framework alongside Peer Interventions within a IPS Framework. My practice is aligned with a client-centered, strengths-based recovery orientated framework and includes extensive experience maintaining client records, working effectively in team environments and linking client needs to practical support services. I am also a lived experience practitioner with lived experience of Mental Health Labels Suicidality Complicated Grief and Recovery from Addiction giving primacy to the Common Factors and working within a Relational Framework! My Current areas of interest include advanced lived experience practice, critical theory and Integrative Community Therapy (ICT) and Solidarity Healing "How is your Social Health" given Social Connectedness is the biggest predictor of Health and Wellbeing that Science is Aware of & my fellow peers who have loved me back to life!
