About me

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT.

I’m someone who is endlessly curious about people, what shapes us, connects us, and helps us grow. I have formal education in behavioural studies, but it’s my lived experience with mental health challenges, substance use, suicidality, and caring for others that has truly taught me about humanity, resilience, and hope.

Outside of work, I’m a practising artist who finds meaning in creativity and self-expression. I love my cats, reading, and true crime, anything that explores the complexity of people and their stories. My approach to life and work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and curiosity, always seeking to understand and connect on a real, human level.

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT. If you are a supervisee who has received an approval email/letter from the CMHL you may contact this supervisor for supervision for this project, then follow the stated processes for supervision payment.

My experience

I have held designated lived experience roles for the past three years within a Brisbane-based NGO in the non-clinical mental health sector. I began as a Peer Wellbeing Coach in Safe Space crisis services before moving into a Senior Peer role and now work as a Peer Team Leader within a Medicare Mental Health Centre.

Throughout this time, I’ve contributed to developing and embedding the organisation’s lived experience framework, participated in co-design groups influencing policy and procedure, and supported the implementation of lived experience leadership through a strategic working group. I’ve also been involved in developing peer training content and facilitating Communities of Practice to strengthen reflective and sustainable peer practice.

My current role/work

I am currently the Peer Team Leader at a Medicare Mental Health Centre, where I provide supervision, leadership, and support to a team of lived experience workers within a multidisciplinary environment.

My training

My training includes Intentional Peer Support (IPS), Alternatives to Suicide (Alt2Su), and Emotional CPR (eCPR), all of which align closely with my relational and values-based approach to supervision. I’ve also completed training in Ethical Practice and Reflection (EPR), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed practice. These frameworks shape the way I hold space, centring mutual learning, dignity of risk, and authentic human connection in every conversation.

My approach to supervision

My approach to supervision is down-to-earth, curious, and relational. While I provide formal supervision, my style is intentionally informal and relaxed, creating a safe, authentic space where supervisees can unpack what’s really going on in their work and within themselves. I’m warm, empathetic, and understanding, but also honest and direct when it’s needed. I see supervision as a balance between support and challenge, a space to reflect, strengthen practice, and grow both personally and professionally.

I’m motivated by curiosity and connection, and I value the kind of supervision that feels real, where laughter, learning, and honest reflection can all coexist. My goal is to help supervisees build confidence, insight, and integrity in their practice while staying grounded in the core values of lived experience work.

Session and cost

Typical session length: 75

Rate for typical session: 100

My supervision sessions are offered at $100 because I want to keep this vital reflective space open and accessible for lived experience workers. Quality supervision shouldn’t be out of reach, it’s where we strengthen our practice, hold space for each other, and keep peer values alive in the work we do.
