This introduction session shares foundations of the Hearing Voices Approach and offers a short Q&A to ask questions about supporting Voice Hearers.
Participants will learn about:

The origins of the Hearing Voices Approach & Global Network
-
Fears & myths around voice hearing
-
Ways we can work with voices & pathways of recovery
-
Coping skills & strategies for when someone is in distress from their voices
*This training is suitable for voice hearers, family, friends & carers of voice hearers, lived experience workers & mental health professionals who work with voice hearers.
Funding: The Department of Health has provided funding that can be accessed by organisations and individuals within Victoria for subsidised access to training.
Eligible participants must be residing in Victoria and:

Have lived or living experience as a voice hearer
-
Are a family member, friend or unpaid carer of a voice hearer
-
Are a concession card holder
-
Are a peer worker in a mental health service, or
-
Work in a public health or community service that supports voice hearers
