Foundations and leadership brings together practical, role-based and discipline-specific supports that help people grow capability, confidence and leadership across Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing workforce. This includes supervision, discipline leadership, educator roles, and tailored supports for the Lived and Living Experience workforce. The focus is on strengthening the foundations that support good practice and on growing leadership at every level of the system.

This page brings together key pathways and supports across disciplines and roles. Over time, it will continue to grow as more resources, programs and partnerships are brought into the Collaborative Centre’s workforce development work.

How this supports the workforce

These foundations and leadership supports aim to:

  • strengthen discipline leadership and educator capability

  • support safe, effective supervision

  • grow leadership pathways, including for early career roles

  • strengthen integration across clinical, community and Lived and Living Experience roles

This work contributes to building a more connected, supported and learning mental health system over time.
