Meet our new Manager, Lived Experience Sector Partnerships 

We're delighted to welcome Leanne Burn to the Collaborative Centre as our new Manager, Lived Experience Sector Partnerships.

Leanne Burn has been a dedicated Consumer Consultant on the Monash Health Mental Health Reform Team since October 2022. She provides valuable lived experience (LE) insights to support the implementation of the Royal Commission's final recommendations into Victoria's Mental Health System. Leanne's journey with Monash Health began in April 2021 as a Consumer IPU Peer Worker, quickly advancing to Consumer Peer Work Inpatient Team Leader. 


Before joining Monash Health, Leanne spent over 20 years in senior Store Management and HR roles at Woolworths Ltd., leading large, diverse teams and managing various operational aspects. She volunteered as a Community Officer with Ambulance Victoria from 2019-2022. 


Leanne is currently completing her Master of Health Administration and holds a Graduate Certificate of Applied Mental Health at Monash University, Diploma of Mental Health and Diploma of Retail Management. Her commitment to professional development is evident through her participation in numerous workshops and conferences, including the TheMHS Conference, Centre for Mental Health Nursing ‘Collab’ Conference, and Monash Health Frontline Leadership Program. 


Throughout her time at Monash Health, Leanne has led impactful projects including the establishment of clinical services at the Dandenong Mental Health and Wellbeing Local, development of the Integrated Alcohol and Other Drug Model of Care, Eating Disorder Peer Work Framework, Advance Statement Uplift Project, the development of a Peer Work Scope of Practice Matrix, and the creation of a Reflective Supervision Procedure for the LLE workforce. Her collaborative efforts with the CFCS Leadership Team and discipline directors have advanced best practices within the Mental Health Program at Monash Health. 


Leanne's professional ethos aligns closely with the Victorian Collaborative Centre’s values, and she is passionate about leading initiatives that enhance patient care and foster meaningful consumer partnerships.
