We're delighted to share some wonderful news — Matthew Corbett will be joining us as Director, Workforce Development as part of our executive leadership team at the Collaborative Centre.
This is a designated Lived and Living Experience position, and Matthew will be working in a job-share arrangement alongside Emma Cadogan. Matthew comes to us from SHARC where he held strategic responsibility across state-wide lived experience workforce education and development portfolios, including the Lived and Living Experience at Heart (LLEAH), the LLEW Development and the AOD Workforce programs.
Matthew brings more than 30 years’ experience in program and system leadership across complex service environments, including alcohol and other drugs (AOD), mental health and wellbeing, and the broader service and arts sectors. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Importantly, Matthew brings lived expertise leadership as a core discipline of workforce development, with deep experience embedding Lived and Living Experience as a recognised workforce qualification and discipline across governance, capability building and learning design.
This appointment is an important step as we continue to build a strong, connected approach to workforce development across Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing system.
We’re looking forward to the leadership Matthew and Emma will bring together, and to continuing this work in a way that is collaborative, evidence informed, and genuinely guided by Lived and Living Experience.
