Expressions of interest are now open for Board member and Chairperson roles with the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Operating under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, the Collaborative Centre was established following the first recommendation of the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System Interim Report. The Centre brings together people with Lived and Living Experience, families, carers and supporters, researchers and health professionals to support research, workforce development and system improvement across Victoria's mental health and wellbeing system.
The Department of Health is seeking applicants who can help guide the Centre through its next phase of growth and development. Board members will play a key role in:
- Shaping strategic direction and priorities
- Strengthening partnerships
- Working closely with executive leadership
- Guiding areas of research focus
- Providing informed advice to the Minister for Mental Health
Applications are encouraged from people with expertise in Lived and Living Experience leadership, clinical practice, governance, research, mental health sector knowledge, financial management and law. The Department has also highlighted the importance of applicants who can contribute to organisational strategy, reform and leadership during periods of change.
