Leanna’s appointment to this key role realises the Centre’s ongoing commitment to embedding lived and living experience within all our work. We look forward to learning from the expertise and experience she will bring to our team.

Leanna has a strong record in mental health workforce development and lived and living experience leadership, having previously held designated lived experience roles at the Centre for Mental Health Learning, Mind Australia, and the Consumer Academic Program (CAP) at the Centre for Mental Health Nursing, University of Melbourne. Throughout her career, she has consistently advocated for greater integration of intersectional lived experience perspectives across the sector.

At the Collaborative Centre, Leanna will lead work to support a thriving mental health and wellbeing workforce in Victoria through a lived expertise lens. This includes the design, implementation and evaluation of training and development programs that are grounded in evidence and shaped by lived and living experience.

We’re excited to have Leanna join our team to advance the important work of strengthening Victoria’s mental health and wellbeing workforce.
