About me

I am a proud non-binary, queer, neurodiverse person with lived and living consumer experience. I grew up on the unceded lands of the Palawa peoples in Tasmanaia on a small remote community in the bush, before moving to the beautiful lands of the Gumbayngirr peoples in mid north coast new south wales. I have spent the last 16 years living in cities, between Sydney, Melbourne, and London.

Before working in mental helath, I spent 16 years working in hospitality, where i had the privilege to connect with people from all walks of life from accross the world.

I value community, creativity, honesty, openess, diversity, inclusion, and social justice. Above all I also value a sense of humour, and don't take myself too seriously, or expect others too.

When I am not working, I enjoy paying music, art, getting into nature, video games, spending time with my dogs, gardening, and spending time with community.

I have a strong interest in intersectionality, and recognise the privalidge I hold being a white coloniser on the lands of the Wurundjeri peoples. I am open to connecting with anyone, from anywhere, and the opportunities for mutual learning that comes from different world views. I comfortable hold the lenses of regional australian experience, as well as experiences of queer and genderqueer folks in society, as well as in the work we do.

My approach to supervision

I like to have a relational curious approach to supervision, establishing trust and mutuality. I am anti fragile and treat people as equals who can name if something is off the table for discussion. I like to approach each supervision as it's own experience, life changes so quickly, and in the work we do, what is important one week, might not be the next. I am open to exploring very differnt themes each session depending on what matters to the person, or it might mean really digging into something. I love practice and systems so this is where I tend to lean.

I have a wealth of experience in line management, and since moving into consumer persepctive supervision have spent the last few years unlearning a lot of the ways power shows up in line management. My approach to Consumer Perspective Supervision is quite broad, and I take an intersectioal approach to how we experience systemic harms, challenges, and what expertise looks like in these spaces.
