Mike Chiswell
About me
My name is Mike (He/ Him). I have been in Consumer Peer Work or Lived Experience Designated roles for almost 5 years in various roles. My perspective is formed from my identity as a neuro-spicy bloke who has and does experience mental health challenges. I'm most passionate about making sense of what it means to work as a peer worker in clinical systems and exploring these tensions. I love exploring the concept of Lived Experience Leadership and what this might looks like in different contexts.

My approach to supervision
I lean on Intentional Peer Support and Open Dialogue principles to provide a space for reflection and exploration where we can come as we are. This is a co-created space where we decide on structure and purpose together to best meet our needs. We can decide from a spectrum of structured process' involving regular prompts to less structured reflection unpacking what you need to unpack at that time.
