About me

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT.

I started my journey as a consumer worker back in 2011 in an inpatient mental health setting in Newcastle with NSW Health. What began as just a job quickly became a passion. I'm deeply committed to person-centred recovery, and these values guide my work every single day. It's truly an honor and privilege to walk alongside the people we support, helping them navigate their journeys, just as others did for me. I am particularly interested in lived experience supervision and workforce implementation, as I believe it's essential to understand and bolster the sector from the perspective of those who have experienced it firsthand. My educational background is in occupational therapy. I have held roles from peer support worker right through to lived experience advisor of a large multi-state NGO organization.

My experience

My educational background is in occupational therapy. However, I have always been drawn back to lived experience roles over clinical work since commencing consumer work in 2011. I have held roles from peer support worker right through to lived experience advisor of a large multi-state NGO organization.

My current role/work

I am currently the peer lead for a new digital mental health and AOD platform that is launching in 2025.

My training

I am Advanced IPS trained and have completed training in Lived Experience Supervision with Liz Asser.

My approach to supervision

My approach to supervision emphasizes mutuality, relational learning, and forward-focused reflection to align peer work with IPS principles while fostering growth and resilience.

Session and cost

Typical session length: 60

Rate for typical session: 80

I can work with individuals to negotiate fees for supervision. I am acutely aware that wages for consumer workers are lower that others in the sector and am passionate about providing access to all.
