Grace Miller

I provide consumer perspective supervision to workers in lived experience roles across youth and adult mental health. I approach supervision from a collaborative and reflexive perspective. I bring my own lived experience of accessing the mental health system, queerness, and as a young carer. I also have a lived experience of AOD concerns and understand the stigma associated with accessing supervision from this lens, I provide an understanding and non-judgmental space to explore this as part of practice. I have supervised many people with neurodivergence and can align sessions with the sensory and communication needs of supervisees.

I have worked as a peer worker, as a Lived Experience Lead, and manager across youth and adult mental health. I aim to provide a warm, empathetic space, where we can learn together.

I have over 8 years of experience in designated lived experience roles.

I have been trained to provide Consumer Perspective Supervision form InsideOut.

I have an Honours degree in Psychology (not clinical).

I have received Anti-racism training, First Nationals social and emotional wellbeing training, LGBTQIA+ inclusion training.

I provide a flexible approach to supervision, I can provide reflexive and reflective spaces, as well as skill building depending on what the supervisee would like. I value providing a mutual space where curiosity is at the heart of the conversation. I believe supervision can provide a space where we can explore connection to self and clarity around role scope and practice. I want to offer this space for people to explore their practice and develop peer skills and have mutual responsibility to one another.
