About me

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT.

I started developing my understanding of consumer perspective and the consumer movement over 25 years ago. I moved to Geelong with my dog Cosmo early 2021. I enjoy exploring markets and being in nature. Back in Melbourne I have 2 adult children and 3 delightful grandchildren. I find holding space for reflection/supervision inspiring and helps keep me grounded.

This supervisor has been approved to provide supervision under the ACCESS TO SUPERVISION PROJECT. If you are a supervisee who has received an approval email/letter from the CMHL you may contact this supervisor for supervision for this project, then follow the stated processes for supervision payment.

My experience

I have worked from a consumer perspective for over 10+ years firstly within a Community Mental Health Service and as then Consumer Advisor at NorthWestern Mental Health, Consumer Lived Experience Educator at St Vincent’s, and have held Executive Roles at VMIAC. I also have had the privilege on working on the development of the Consumer Perspective Supervision Framework, and developing the Consumer perspective supervision training with InsideOut and Associates. I was employed at CMHL as the Victorian Lived Experience Co-design lead. I work with a multidisciplinary team at CMHL as the Lived Experienced Supervision lead and as the State Wide co-design lead developing and providing Co-design training and secondary consultations in co-design and co production across the Mental Health sector.

My current role/work

I am currently working for Mind Australia as the Project Manager for the Lived Experience Residential Service. This was from Recommendation 5 in the interim report from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. This will be an innovative service that can support transformational change in the services we receive

My training

I have completed the Consumer Perspective Supervision training, PeerZone, Intentional Peer Support, Hearing Voices training and ECPR. as well as Team leader and Management training. I am invested in working from the values of the Consumer movement and Consumer Perspective.

My approach to supervision

I work with the person to explore what style of supervision suits their needs and I work with them.

I love holding space for reflection as I find that to be the most creative and where innovation and inspiration occurs.
