Anna Goodluck

About me

If you're looking for a supervisor who is warm, a deep listener, and genuinely invested in seeing you thrive - then hello! My name is Anna (she/her). And it would be a pleasure to be your supervisor.

I bring both lived experience and years of professional practice to my work. My own journey has included navigating anxiety, workplace burnout, spiritual abuse, and suicide. These experiences are central to how I show up, how I listen, and how I support others in doing the (often challenging, but) meaningful work.

I spent several years embedded in a Lived & Living Experience team, growing from Youth Program Coordinator to Program Lead to Team Lead, where I had the privilege of working alongside and mentoring multiple lived experience staff and peer placement students. I know this work from the inside - the richness of it, the significance of this movement, and also the challenges and barriers we can face as lived experience staff.

My style is warm, strengths-based, and grounded in meeting you where you are. I don't want you to feel like you're stuck in the hard stuff by yourself. I'm here to help you move through it, at your pace, with your strengths leading the way. I am a registered counsellor (working of course from a lived experience lens) and while supervision is not the same as counselling by any means, I am open to sharing ideas and activities for those who are interested, from modalities including the Hearing Voices Approach, Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and more. A sense of humour I find also goes a long way, so expect to be invited to have a laugh where appropriate in sessions!

When I'm not working as a lived experience counsellor, I also teach yoga, and I enjoy interweaving breathwork, mindfulness and mindful movement to supervisees who may be interested.

I am a first generation Australian, with my parents being from China and Russia/Ukraine, and I grew up and live on Wurundjuri Country. I live with my husband, silly dalmatian, and dopey cat.
