Hey I'm Abby (They/Them) I identify as agender or gender diverse. I have a lived experience as Queer & Neurodivergent & have experienced Anxiety, Panic Attacks & PMDD (Oophorectomy & hysterectomy) & the incremental trauma associated with being part of minority groups. I value authenticity, transparency, empathy, freedom creative expression, a sense of humour & loyalty. I have a strong sense of justice & am an advocate for human rights, equality & better health outcomes for FNP, Trans & Gender Diverse, Homeless, LGBTQIA+ Mental Health Communities. I am passionate about Interoception- Felt Safety , Sensory Modulation & creating Safe Sensory Environments.
I love live music & aerobics, dogs, travelling, the Desert & being in nature, bright colours & creative projects & laughing with my friends.

Professional Experience:
- Abby has over 14 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist specializing in Adult Mental Health.
- Abby’s career has been dedicated to working with intersections marginalized communities, striving to create safe and least restrictive interventions.
- Notable achievements include transforming an ICU Seclusion room into a Sensory room and contributing to the Board for LGBTQIA+ and TGD Affirming Approach.
- Abby played a crucial role in the NWMH Pilot project, recreating a Sensory room in place of a Seclusion room at the NPU.
- They were part of the NWMH Co Design team for the first Female and younger children’s PARC in Victoria.
- Abby has dedicated time to educating staff on LGBTQIA+ training and Gender Affirmation

My approach to supervision
Clinical supervision for allied health includes:
Trauma Informed, Culturally Inclusive, body, gender, sex & sexuality positive, LGBTQIA+, Neurodivergent TGD Affirmative, Recovery Focussed Supervision
We provide a safe sensory space to talk & can offer grounding strategies to enhance your interoception or felt safety in Supervision e.g. Body scans, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, gentle movement or art therapy exercises.
We are also mindful that you may have a preferred medium to express yourself, process & learn within the session & encourage the use of Journaling, writing goals, exploring Client Cases, drawing, craft activities, mind mapping & can facilitate you to enhance your organisational skills
