Join us to explore practical strategies to ensure you can support individuals and families affected by trauma. This free webinar is aimed at clinical and peer workers working in mental health and community services. We will explore how teams and individual workers can create an environment and provide services that promote safety, autonomy, dignity and effective collaboration.
You will learn to use practical tools developed and piloted in partnership with three mental health services.
In this session you will:
• Learn about how trauma-informed principles apply to critical aspects of care such as helping someone to share their experience of trauma, responding to risk, support planning or addressing crises
• Be provided with examples of how you can maintain trauma-informed practices in busy clinical environments
• Explore what supports workers safety and wellbeing in trauma-informed practice.
Three presenters bringing allied health, medical and lived and living expertise will discuss practical scenarios and tips.
