Our roles as Family Carer Lived Experience (FCLE) workers can be both rewarding and challenging. So much of our work is deeply relational, requiring us to navigate complex systems while holding space for others.

This practical workshop and reflective space is designed for us to catch our breath, connect with peers, and unpack our everyday ways of working. Whether you are bringing fresh insights from our recent training sessions, or you just want a supportive space to reflect on your current role, you are warmly invited to join the conversation.

We will come together to explore our work—celebrating what is working well, validating the very real challenges of the work, and dreaming up future possibilities for our discipline.

In this session, we will explore:

  • What’s Working: Highlighting the relational practices, small wins, and moments of deep connection that sustain us in our roles.
  • What’s Hard: Naming the systemic barriers, boundary challenges, and moments of frustration we encounter in our work.
  • Possibilities: Looking forward together—how can we take these reflections and use them to shape our ways of working?

The Collective FCLEW workshops are intentionally designed for interaction, mutual learning, and deep-dive discussions. This practical workshop offers a unique space to build a deeper connection to your daily work. Through the mutual sharing of our expertise, we cultivate the community and collective wisdom that defines our discipline.

Eligibility criteria: All registrants for this training must be employed in a Family Carer Lived Experience role in Victoria.

Due to limits on the number of registrants who can attend the training, those new to the workforce will be prioritised.
