Thinking of conducting a literature review? New to evidence synthesis? This workshop will help you navigate different types of research reviews, offering practical guidance on how to choose, develop, and conduct the approach that best fits your research question.

 

By the end of the session, you will:

  • Differentiate between major review types (e.g., systematic, scoping, narrative, rapid, and umbrella) and understand their applications.

  • Determine the most appropriate review type based on your research question, scope, and available resources.

  • Learn key strategies for developing and conducting a review, including designing a search strategy, managing data, and conducting quality assessments.

  • Leverage AI to streamline administrative tasks.

 

Presenter

Amelia Yazidjoglou is a research fellow at the Melbourne Centre for Behaviour Change at the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences. She is a mixed methods public health researcher with a background in e-cigarette and tobacco control. Amelia has experience conducting large scale evidence reviews including systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and umbrella reviews for the World Health Organization and the Australian Department of Health, and rapid reviews with RMIT.
