Area mental health and wellbeing services
Understanding and responding to mental health crisis and suicide is one of the Victorian mental health workforce capabilities. This highly engaging program brings together concepts, themes, and skills derived from the contemporary literature, including the Chronological Assessment of Suicide Events (CASE) approach, a risk assessment and formulation model that emphasises prevention over prediction.
Furthermore, the participants will discuss the impacts of their own values and beliefs about suicide, quality of assessment, and specific interviewing skills to promote engagement and connection.
Please note this workshop is designed for clinical roles and may not be suitable for non-clinical roles.
